There's the old school gun crowd, really the majority of gun owners, that just want to responsibly own firearms of whatever sort for hunting, target shooting or collecting purposes and be left alone about it. Then there's the vocal minority that want to own an arsenal of military weapons because "ma conshitushounal rites!". These are the same clowns that open carry assault rifles in restaurants and let their 9 year old daughters fire Uzis. They give the first group a bad name
There's the middle also..

hunting, target shooting and collecting is just a byproduct of ma conshitushounal rites.

This is so crazy. Why does a 9 year kid need to be by guns. Just because parents are gun nuts this i sick
Trying to translate to English. If I did so successfully, then you're saying that a 9 year old has no business being around guns.
I couldn't disagree more. Children are inquisitive by nature and guns have a mystique about them that kids find hard to resist. The easiest and best way to remove that mystique is to introduce them in a controlled, safe environment*. At 9, I had been hunting with a shotgun for a couple of years was in the process of transitioning from a .410 single shot to a semi-automatic Browning light 20. I knew very well what guns could do, they held no mystery, and thus they weren't treated like toys.
*What happened here is the exact opposite of introducing a controlled, safe environment. As many others have said a child that young should have never been given an automatic weapon.

The little girl was a tourist from New Jersey. Aren't princesses from New Jersey? The poor schmuck was trying to teach a princess to fire an Uzi.

Upvote for Belle!
I feel bad for this young girl, who through no fault of her own, now has to live with killing someone for the rest of her life.

I can't even begin to imagine what is going on in that little girls head. Could you imagine taking a life at the age of 9. RIP to the instructor.

No one needs an Uzi.

I know you're dicking around, but I meant no one. There's no need for the thing.

Kids shouldn't be allowed at a gun range plain and simple.

What exactly is a military weapon?
Ar-15? Yep
AK-47? Yep
Mosin Nagant? yep
Mauser? yep
bow and arrow? yep
Point is there is no such thing as military weapon because all weapons have a military back ground.
I have several of your so called "military weapons" none of them have ever killed a soul. I do enjoy target shooting with them however and my 8yr son and 10yr old daughter love to shoot them as well. Also, I do quite often carry concealed but never have and never will open carry in public.
And for the record, the parents and instructor in were in terrible error and the little girl is luck to have not gotten shot as well. A full auto anything is very difficult to handle by me much less a little girl that weighs 60lbs at the most.

All the videos I've seen cut off right before the guy gets shot. Bummer.

No, not at all. Kids should learn to shoot out in the yard. Maybe behind their house with little or no supervision and questionable safety features.
No way they should ever go to a place where a firearm may be safely discharged under adult supervision.*
*Again, no adult supervision happened here but that's the fault of the dead guy - who was supposed to be the most responsible person involved.

Have any idea how much a full auto Uzi cost?
Before the trust and class 3 stamp they run about $20k
