Made a nice fat wad of cash off the first Clay–Liston fight--bankrolled my first significant dope deal.

RIP Champ.

I'll be that guy.

"War is against the teaching of the "Holy Qur'an", I'm not trying to dodge the draft. We are not suppose to take part in no wars unless declared by "Allah". We don't take part in no Christian wars or wars of unbelievers."
Mohammed Ali (1966)

(In '64 he was classified 1A, but after testing his IQ was 78 and he was reclassified 1Y (unfit for service) draft standards lowered and he was reclassified 1A in 1966.))

Now M. Ali was a legit social justice warrior. For real. Before that was code for being a liberal jackass.

Muhammad Ali was a draft dodger and scum. He was a great fighter but he is a piece of crap for his actions during Vietnam war. I for one believe his actions out of the ring (or lack thereof) overshadow his accomplishments in the ring. He was a sorry P.O.S.

Maybe we shouldn't but doesn't give that piece of crap a reason to avoid service to his country.

Sure it does.

I really don't see how it doesn't.

Ali was the greatest boxer of my 67 year life time. Ali was greater as a man than he was as a boxer.

If there are any puny little Ali detractors, they can go to hell.

Ali was the greatest heavyweight, no doubt.

But the greatest boxer of all time is this guy:
