The one that comes immediately to mind is Ernest Scared Stupid. Yes, Ernest Scared Stupid. That troll filled me with a dread I can't describe.

The other is Terminator 2: Judgment Day. I saw it when I was quite young, which was a bad idea, and The T-1000 terrified me. I'm still scared of Robert Patrick as a result. I screamed and cried hysterically when he was on the screen in Walk the Line.

ETA: Fixed the image.

Hannibal, I think.

Watched it in a Laughlin hotel room. Went to bed, had a nightmare and woke up white as a ghost

"The NeverEnding Story" bothered me on several levels when I saw it at 7. First, you watch a horse drown in something called "the Swamp of Sadness." Horse literally drowns in sadness. Then, the talking wolf called the Nothing was creepy. Finally, you figured you were getting a good deal renting a neverending movie, but that shite was over in under two hours.

Halloween
Children of the Corn
Tremors 2 (loved the first one as a kid, never scared me. The shriekers though when the 2nd one came out terrified me).
The Blob ( not the 50s version, but the 80s remake was horrifying to me as a kid)
Pumpkinhead

Here is a body count for the Blob

LINK

Movie was fricking gruesome for an 80s movie

ET scared me. The scene where the kid goes out to the shed and finds ET was just really creepy to me. I always had to walk out of the room until the scene was over.

The animated hobbit movie. I had a nightmare that Bilbo was a cavity and built a house on tooth with a garage and everything.

You'd just laugh now. It's pretty tame.

The Exorcist to this day messes with me. Can't watch it.
