Any of 1, 2, 3, 6 are much better than the previous proposed replacement. I favor 6 but wouldn't have heartburn over any of those.

Gov. Bryant has already stated that he doesn't expect the legislature to vote in favor of changing it and go against the will of the people of MS...we had a ballot measure years ago to change it and it failed miserably.
They will introduce the legislation to appease the vocal minority, and it will fall flat on it's face once the raucous dies down in a week and the nation moves on to it's next faux outrage over something stupid.

We should change the flag to depict a white guy spitting skoal out of the window of his truck on one side of the flag, and the other side of the flag show a black dude hanging out in front of a shitty gas station drinking from a brown bag. It will really unify the people and represent our values as a state.

I guess my only question is why should the state of Mississippi make changes to their flag when one person acted like an idiot in a state 7 hours away?

Because people need to feel like they're making a difference even though they're not.
Anyone that thinks this has any shot in hell at passing is delusional. The elected officials that vote for this change will be committing political suicide in the state
