I don't think anyone is saying they are equal, but it does happen.

And what I'm saying is comparing deaths due Islamic Jihadists to the deaths due to Christian fanaticals is like comparing cancer victims to people who die in vending machine accidents.

Yeah the crusades killed in the name of Christ too.. they were real barbaric arse holes. The inquisition was just as bad as the jihadist of today. But the difference is all of that shite is in the fricking past this shite is happening now! These people haven't advanced socially since the 1300s

And with regard to The Crusades, read up on the 400 years that preceeded them, the Muslims were more than asking for that shite.

They're asking for it again..

Yes, yes they are. We've tried reasoning and compromise, but diplomacy simply doesn't work with these people.

You couldn't be more correct.
I know universities today have a hard time teaching history in even a remotely objective manner, but here is a fun fact.
Like V&S said, the Crusades happened only after 4 centuries of aggressive attacks to Christianity by Muslims.
The 1st Crusade began in 1095 and not because Christians were looking to pick a fight and baptise their neighbors to the East.
460 years after the 1st Christian city was overrun by Muslims
457 years after Jerusalem was conquered by Muslims.
453 years after Egypt was taken by Muslims
443 years after Italy was plundered by Muslims
427 years after Muslims 1st laid siege to the Christian capital of Constantinople.
380 years after Spain was conquered by who? You guessed it. Muslims.
363 years after Muslims 1st attacked France.
249 years after the sack of Rome by Muslims.
The 1st crusades only came after centuries of church burnings, murder, enslavement, and forced conversions of Christians all at the hands of Islam. By the time the Crusades began Muslim armies had already conquered 2/3's of the Christian world.

Obama was always mad as hell about the Crusades but no interest in islamist terorism today.

The only bad thing I would say about the crusades would be most Christian Knights were so terrible they would kill evryone in the middle east including few Christians but then again I guess that way they knew they'd gotten all the baddies

People tend to forget that the Catholic church has killed more human beings on this planet than have been killed in most wars.

They are the same people. It's two sides of the same coin.

Do people forget that? It gets talked about a lot.

I'm down for California seceding. Let them try and figure it out since the left wing policies are working out so well for them.

Not only does this get brought up every time someone brings up the truth about Islam (it was discussed in this very thread), but it's also laughably incorrect. In terms of sheer body count, nobody holds a candle to Atheists. Read a Goddamn book.

Actually it is believed that only around 3000 people were actually executed during the inquisition spanning decades, even centuries. It is thought to have been worse by many Americans because the Protestants who largely founded our country used it as anti-catholic propaganda back in England.
That is a Tuesday to radical Islamists.

The Christians didn't commit regional genocide during the crusades nor did the muslims. No point in killing everyone who would have to work for you and provide Goode money etc once you won. Now when a city fell things often got out of hand, as was the style of the times. Despite all the horror stories genocide was not particularly attractive to ancient/medieval conquerors.

Two things:
1- the KKK people were not all Christians. They were all Democrats, though.
2- Catholics are not all Christians, and Catholicism is not Christianity. There are some Catholics who may be Christian, just like there are Baptists and those in protestant religions. The Pope is very Catholic, but not necessarily christian, and no doubt there are previous popes in hell today. My point is this- don't get religion mixed up with Christianity. Because religion doesn't make you a Christian: Salvation does.
