Oh that was just a stage in life where I was going into work every day 5-6 and I had been eating pretty poorly at whataburger along with trying to lose weight.

I only dip when hunting or on a long car ride by myself now.

Yea, it seems line once you get big, you will always fight it. Once those fat cells are there, them little bastards are just looking to get filled up.

Im getting too old to eat like shite so I have cleaned up my diet for the most part. I just need to stay active.

The bad part is that I love to work out. But like you said, I am sacrificing a lot right now for my work. I bought a small company about 5 years ago and have been growing it over the past 5 years. I pretty much work it everyday. It has not left me a lot of time for working out.

Now, I just take the time. Everything else can wait so I can atleast get a hour in each day.

I hit wall after wall after wall with my weight loss (trying low carb, low fat, low calories, exercise anorexia, you name it), and I've finally found something that works. It is a rotation/elimination diet created by a nutritionist Lyn-Genet Recitas. The premise behind it is that every body is wired differently. For some people, gluten is the culprit that keeps them losing weight. There's even many people whose bodies cannot tolerate oatmeal.

So you start by doing a cleanse where you eat a ton of vegetables and fruits for 3 days (but only certain ones that have been clinically determined not to cause weight gain for like 99% of people doing the program). Then you go through a testing phase where you rotate certain foods in until you get a picture of what foods you can eat and lose weight on.

I determined what I've suspected for several years- that gluten causes me to gain weight. I knew this because on a day when I at nothing but kale, flax seed, a little chicken, vegetables and very little carbs I gained an entire pound because I ate 1 measly piece of white bread. But surprisingly, another day I ate a potato (loaded with butter BTW) and lost weight. I have always tried to avoid potatoes because of carb content, but I don't anymore because I know it's a food my body can process.

Sound crazy? I thought it was too but when I saw a family member dropping weight fast I was sold. As for me, I've lost 26 pounds in less than a month (the first dozen came off the first week) and see no signs of any slowdown. I haven't even exercised any, but am about to kick it in gear in hopes for even better acceleration of loss.

I have lost 49lbs since feb. 16th 305-256 currently. cut out sodas, rice, bread, anything fried, and of coarse no sweets, and started working out 30 min. cardio and lifting at least 3 days a week mostly 5 though. I'm 44 even though I've lost 49lbs I have actually lost more fat then that as I've also gained muscle.

I've lost 15 pounds in the last 3 months. The Fitbit has helped a ton. I just eat less calories than what I burn a day. My body has adjusted to eating less. I'm borderline too skinny now. I can't afford to lose anymore weight.

I would recommend a high protein / low calorie diet.

I eat Greek yogurt for breakfast.

Some days I will eat tuna for lunch. I used to gag at the smell of tuna from a can, but I can tolerate these. The smell isn't too bad.

I'm two weeks in and 5 pounds down. I'm 25 6'0 and weigh 209.

I was usually hovering around 200 before starting to work out about 9 month ago. I've since put on around 10 lbs of muscle and would like to keep the muscle and still get to 190.

I was 180 in my prime in high school.

Been budgeting for 1600 calories a day. Workout 5 times a week.

Cheat on Saturdays. Eat as much as I want.

I have lost 50 lbs since last year. I have done it very easily. while most people have been trying to lose up to 10-15 pounds per month, I've decided that all I need to do is lose 1 lb per week. hell....I can take a shite and lose 1 lb. it was very easy and I need to lose about 15 more.

Lost and kept off about 30 pounds. Not a huge amount, but still...

- Cut out sugary drinks. Drink only water or beer mostly. Still have an occasional Mexican Coke, but haven't had a soda with HFCS in 2 or 3 years at least.
- Bring my lunch to work most days. Still go out once every 2-3 weeks, but still try to eat relatively healthy when I do.

That's really about it.

not to mention when i lost weight i put on a significant amount of muscle at the same time. when i was 235 i was benching like 135 lol. when i stopped going to the gym at 175 i was playing around with 225, deadlifting.. i forgot what 3 45 plates are lol but i could get 5 reps of 3 45 plates. i looked totally different after 6 months

the one thing i am happy about is that even though i still need to lose weight, i have a huge fricking chest and can bench 260 pretty easily. give me 4-5 more months, beast mode lol

I got a job as a wire puller in a chem plant. For a month, 6 days a week, 10 hours a day, I helped pull wires through cable trays. The wires ranged in size from bundles an inch thick to massive metal jacketed MCL cable 6 inches in diameter. I was as sore as I've ever been in my life the first week, but by the time school started the next month, I had dropped a net 15 pounds while gaining the largest biceps I've ever had. I lost the biceps in 3 months, but managed to keep that weight off for almost a year until being at a desk job for 70 hours/week without working out proved to be too much I've gained it all back and then some.

I started working out more 2 months ago and have started eating less and eating more fruits and vegetables, less grain and sweets, over the past few weeks. My pants already fit better. We'll see how long I can keep that up and what the end results will be.

I'm hoping I'll lose the beer gut and get my guns back in time for my wedding in a year. If I could look good shirtless on my honeymoon, that would be the extra kicker.
