"Catching a case" is getting arrested and charged with a crime. The OP is talking about having information to start some huge earth shaking environmental type case against a company or something similar.

But seriously, if you've read the one thread about where I work, you could understand.
There is some bad shite going on and the public needs to know about it. But I can't throw it all out on the table, gotta play my cards right.
Let's just say contaminated ground water is one of the many things.
People are getting sick, there is no HR department/rules and OSHA is being lied to whenever they show up.
Also, workplace retaliation and racism is abundant.
