It was a little high and a little cold this morning. It did however warm up to a balmy 42 by 3:00pm

Its just part of it. Its why I bitched and whined so much about it getting cold. I am going to be out tomorrow through next Thursday except for Saturday. Cold every day.

We had ice forming today on the rod guides till 11:00am.

It was cold

Fishing was great. Caught about 25 today. Some nice ones too

Fishing is good in the winter. The water temps are still pretty good. It just fricking sucks.

You definitely earn your pay going out on days like today.

Oh, it isn't that bad.

Here's a mirror temp shot I made last December.

And I was wading.

I love fishing in the winter. Guides icing, however, can be a real PITA.

Yea, today was 24, riding around the boat and then having a 8-10 mph wind. It just never got comfortable.

Clear as a bell this morning let the night get very cold

You're going to have to come visit me at my fish camp on the Santee if you are really into fishing.

We'll be out there daily in about another six weeks or so.

Just ignore the moonshine still.

I have fished plenty of BassMaster and FLW events on Santee. Fun place to fish but it can get nasty there in a hurry..

My brother and I have 40 acres near Black's Camp just off of Ranger Drive. We'll be hitting it hard in about six weeks before I head back to Honolulu. We'll bass fish all day and trotline for the spawning cats at night to stock up the freezer.

I've known Davy Hite since he was a kid. I actually live on Lake Murray even though our farm is out here in Gilbert, but back in the day Davy used to put-in Lake Murray on our property sometimes, or either over at Boyd Morrison's landing ... but he'd wanna go fishing with me sometimes because I had the latest and greatest Ranger back then.

And one of my best friends is Jackie Hite ... the Crappie King. Don't know if you know Jackie or not. My wife and I eat over at his BBQ place at least once a week when we are in town.

hell, TN has 50 square miles with water reserves in it that rightfully belongs to us.

Georgians are never gonna stop bitching about that.

It's ours. Deal wit it.
