this is not an award based on album sales. Beck has 1 producer (himself-literally in his basement), Beyonce had SEVENTEEN producers on the album as a whole.
It took 5 writers for Drunk In Love IIRC. I mean...anyone can manufacture a good album. It takes money to make money. But just because it was a secret album that sold a bunch of records doesn't mean it's a shoo-in for AOTY

I actually like some of Kanye's stuff, but his schtick is played out. No one respects him anymore and his auto tuned bullshite sucks. Don't sing if you can't sing.

I like Beyoncé but there's nothing really artistic about her music. Especially her newest album which, at least from the songs I've heard, basically just repeats 3-4 lines Over and over and over again. It's catchy though.
