No. No one cares because they're drunken idiots doing stupid shite. They aren't trying to pass it off as "protests" or pretend it's about some issue. They will still be punished in the same manner that Baltimore rioters will.
I don't really know what happened in Baltimore that sparked the riot but I guarantee you over half of the rioters don't know what sparked the riots either. They're just doing it because they can.

Gardner fought them through most of the event. He didn't stop resisting until there were about 4 officers on him. The only problem I've got with the Garner situation was the failure to render aid after it was (or should have been) apparent he was in legitimate distress. Officers know or should know CPR and can do hands-only compressions until EMS arrives.

Yep. That's the one. Just guessing, but it sounds like they may have 'brake checked' the guy a few times and he wound up getting what turned out to be a fatal spinal injury.
Funny thing about the riots here is that the PD's said almost from the start that their people messed up in a pretty big way form the not buckling him in (hence the 'brake check' speculation) to not getting him medical attention. It doesn't look like anybody's hiding anything and yet the locals are once again burning down their own neighborhoods.
