Also trackers can see what you download, so they can easily find out and try to scam you. Did you use the same email to sign up for anything that you downloaded? Even bittorrent?

I used piratebay so no sign-up. I've downloaded TONS of music and never movies. Download a couple movies and this.

Here's the thing, the people who are claiming copyright infringement know someone from your public IP downloaded those pornos. That's it. They don't know if you did it, and they have no evidence to prove you did. They just want money to make the threat of a lawsuit to go away, they don't actually want to go to court.

Like I said before you'll probably be fine if you don't pay it and if you do pay the settlement then you know you'll be fine. This is all assuming that the email you got was legitimate and not a scam though.

I'd call and say you didn't do it, someone must have used your Internet signal without your knowledge. Say you are concerned because of this email saying you owe 200 dollars. Ask your ISP what they think you should do and continue to deny it was you.
