My only point is that it was never meant to be insulting by most people who used it and many who use it today don't mean any harm. It was not and is not the same as N for a black person.

oh i agree with you on that, my mom still says it on occasion and i know she doesn't mean it as an insult- she's 76 tho so i give her a little leeway on stuff. i just thought he had a good post on the issue as a whole.
