Yeah, do you even have one nationally recognized chef?

one restaurant is up for a james beard award and then a chef from another is up for one as well, so no, of course not, it's all just fried chicken livers, etc.

Memphis is a combination of Baton Rouge and Nashville with Jackson's politicians running it.

I like Baton Rouge and Nashville way more than I like Memphis. While it does have some good points I would never want to live there while I would have no problem living in Baton Rouge or Nashville.

Can't be that famous- I've never heard of any of them. I did google the last one and saw he was in some bake contest. Golly gee! There was a Fayetteville woman on cupcake wars once but I didn't think that was worthy of mention.

Memphis and Oxford can claim English. Currance hangs out here too.

Lol @ the dumb pig not knowing anything about one of the Top Chef judges or one of the top chefs in the south.

ETA: dumb pig #2 brought Oxford into this.

That's funny.

See, when your identity is wrapped up in over-magnifying your breathtakingly few positives, you get what is called "tunnel-vision". I know your visit to Fayetteville made you mad, because to your surprise, it has a lot more going for it than Oxford, and that hurt you personally. Also 30-0.

Memphis is highest point in the old deep south. The suburbs of Bartlett,Germantown, and Collerville are as old south as it gets. It should be annexed to Mississippi

I love top chef- it's probably my fave food show. I'm familiar with the regular judges on the show. I googled their pics and I still don't recognize either one of them. Was he- whichever one- a guest judge on one episode or something?

Stupid is no way to go through life.

People are moving to Oxford. We aren't propped up by Wal Mart. Our school and town can support themselves.

Putting a few visually ugly buildings in the hills is nothing to be proud of, unless that's all you have.

I would not care to live in any of those four places. To be fair, I don't care for big cities. The only ones I like are Charlotte and Nashville. Small cities like Charleston, Chattanooga, Wilmington, Asheville, etc. are tGOAT type of places.

I'm flying into Orlando and driving to Gainesville from there. Should be a fun birthday weekend.

I've driven from Memphis to Gainesville. Never again.

It's like 7 hours to Key West from Gville right?

Andy Ticer and Michael Hudman were up for a James Beard award as well, they didn't win though.

I find it hilarious when anyone from Arkansas calls something trashy. Arkansas is by far the trashiest place in the country, possibly in the world.
