I would love to have one. My brother had a 68 camaro, and I would love to have one of that vintage to restore.

Yep. Not as big into actual racing but love muscle cars.

I’ve got a 96 Impala mothballed back home…mostly stock but looking to freshen up that LT1 when I get back

Those came out when I was in HS. I really like them! If you're digging into that engine

Longtubes
Bigger cam
Upgraded intake manifold and throttle body

Today I found a FAST LSXR intake manifold and agreed on a darn good deal. With the stock manifold and the exact same build, my engine put down 540 HP. Mine should be in the 550-560 HP range

Some of you Aggies may recognize the building behind my car

I love when cars come back from the grave like that. The older and worse condition the more impressive.

I'd love to see this thing when completed. It looks like you have it going in a great direction. Any mods to the coyote?

Thanks! This one is built to be an ultra-reliable daily driver - no engine mods.

I purchased two, SLP loudmouth II bullet mufflers if anyone knows what those are or how they sound. I spent way to much time listening to exhaust videos on YouTube

I’d love to get back into having some fast older vehicles but I need to build a shop first. Shop prices are like gas prices right now so I’m holding off.

Instead I had an Audi S7 and BMW X5M to hold me over on there speed itch.

The '96 "lt1" engine was a small block 350 5.7 liter engine. Came with 275 hp. Very hard to get 500 hp from a small block. It was also a 48mm throttle body with max rev 5700 rpm.

The CAMARO LT1 SERIES (2016?)came with a 376 ci 6.2liter fuel injected
With over 500 hp@ 6000 rpm.

HP + weight is key. I had a 69 firebird 565 hp. 2700 lbs plus 565 hp gave me a 6.1 et in 1/8 mile at 109 mph.

I'm well aware. I owned an LS1 car from 2001-2003 which was its predecessor. Then an 2019 SS which had the LT1

Then I added the 376 like the 1st Gen Camaros had 350, 396 etc

What type car are you swapping that drivetrain into?

I have a 97 Mustang Cobra w 12k miles (slow, bone stock immaculate) and a rowdy 67 Coronet w a 440RB.

There has been no such thing as a muscle car since they took lead out of gasoline and scaled the octane back in the 70s, Those 60s model Chevelles with those big ole 396 big blocks and (sometimes) two 4-barrel carbs sittin' up there were a thing of beauty. Damn those things would fly! Knew a couple of o'boys that got killed too. Today, the powers that be would try to make laws that outlawed 'em outright. Better days back then.
