St. Vincent's ER doc. Never saw again, fortunately, no surgery needed and me stayin off of it was the same as when the put the cast on Monday. Still, woulda saved time and reduced me banging it getting up to piss or eat for a couple days.

Seriously though, I need to win the damn lottery so I can get back to getting my A license. Being an adult and responsible sucks donkey dicks.

I hate being an adult. I always said I was going to be the first person to win the Alabama state lottery.

Do you have to get your pilots license to fly an ultra-light?

I'll have to research. I'm sure there's some license to get. You have several types of license for skydiving, I know you have to get some type of FAA license for hang gliding. I couldn't imagine there wouldn't be one for ultra lights too.

You're talking about doing all of these exciting things and I'm just trying to find a cheap pickup truck and a cheap bass boat

Advantage of bein old.

Still a ton to do though. I do want another camper though eventually.

Know what sux about being old and trying to feel young? You feel even older after the painful effects show that your arse is old.

I'm 40 and in my head I'm 20. My damn body feels 65. My Grandfather always told me that getting old is hell. I believe him

I was hard on my body when I was young. I'm paying for it now

I was too, to a degree. I did the dirt bike, 4 wheelers, 4x4's, sheriffing, scuba and so forth before I was 25, but lucky with no injuries. The more extreme bug is hitting now... but frick it. You only live once. Might as well really live. Right?

I hear ya. My foot gets numb sometimes and hurts at times if I'm on it too much. But hell... I coulda done the same walking and stepping in a pot hole. Live life and no regrets. Finally at the age that I can do the things I've always wanted to and can afford to do. Best to go in a blaze of glory than whimpering, right?

That video was cool. There is so much to look at that I bet it's over before you know it.

You might as well do as much as you can while you still can. I joke around about being old, but I know there will be a time when I won't be able to do nearly as much. Hell, I can do everything, just like when I was a kid, just not as fast. Takes longer to recover after sports

sensory overload for sure. There is nothing like it though in the world. I'll do a tandem again at least. Hopefully more in the future. If you decide to do it.. 2 things to prepare for that you aren't told.... temp change.. you get like an ice cream brain freeze. It's cold as hell at 14k. Next... ears hurting.. hold your nose and blow out to equalize the pressure. It's like scuba. You're at a much lighter atmosphere when you jump and the pressure builds as you come into a lower altitude. Other than that.. just enjoy it.

I'd be concentrating so hard that I don't know if I would feel the temp change
I'd definitely need a drink or 5 after it was over

No crap. I gave up sports and video games. My reaction times suck. One thing that I've always been consistent with throughout life... I can't pick a cheap hobby.

A used skydive rig is gonna run a few grand. Going the new route, you can sink 6-8 grand easy. Not like these millenials that are happy knitting and sewing and shite.

You'll feel it.

Tandem.. I was ready.. absolutely no nerves or anything. shite got cold. My solo jump with my own chute.. nervous as hell and was like.. wtf am I doing, cold sweat.. but still felt that cold shite.
