I wouldn't be able to sit down for a while. My dad disciplined my brother and I by spanking us and/or grounding and lecturing. I'm glad he did because I don't think we would have turned out as respectful to him, my mom, and other adults as we did.

Parents taught me how to be respectful at an early age. But I would have been beaten if I would have.

Not being dramatic, but if I had said this to my dad growing up he would have very likely beat the shite out of me... it's called parenting.

the immediate reaction would have been a backhand right to my face.

Not sure about long term consequences....

Not joking but probably wouldn't be here to answer this question. My dad was very strict. I am as well but to a lesser extent. I was scared of my dad until i got married at 21 and move out.

I don't know what he would have done, I do know I was smart enough to never find out.

True story about how I learned my dad was a bit crazy and not to be fricked with (also small world story).

I started public school in junior high (private before). Made my first friend in public school early on. One day new friend comes to school and asks if my dad was named XYZ. I said yeah.

He asked if my dad used to drink motor oil and eat glass in bars. Said his mom saw a guy named XYZ do it years ago. I went home and asked him and sure enough kid's mom was right and my mom was like WTF??? Dad said he lost some bets in bars back in the day and that was why.

I then heard another story about him stabbing a guys hand with a fork that took a fry off his plate from the same kid at school. Also confirmed.

Not too mention some storys from his military buddies, one of which was him knocking some guy out during roll call for not saying Sergeant Major Sir after saying "here".

It is a wonder I am still alive after the shite I pulled. I'm lucky he had 18 years of my mom working to calm him down before I lost my mind and challenged him that night.

Another great video, I'm sure a good deal of you know comedian, Bill Burr, ranting on a Dr. Phil video of a kid who slapped his mother. This had me on the floor. Bill Burr- Parenting, Fat kid slaps his mom on Dr. Phil

I would've received an arse whooping. But I had and still have no reason to say anything like that to my dad.

Then, my mom would have knocked my a** out.

Then my grandpa would have knocked my a** out.

Then my grandma would have knocked my a** out from her grave.
