It's possible. Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to really keep an eye on your bank account if you've got banking information stored on your computer or cached in a browser.

If they used a remote session into your system, you need to get someone to check for key logger software.

Indeed what he said. DO NOT LOG INTO anything with any kind of sensitive Information. Ie: Bank,Anything you do not want them having access to.
Once they got the Port access it was over. lol

Life is just a never ending scam. Sort of like how "security deposit" really means "money I'm going to use for some new shite in a few months." Best of luck to you, my friend, and frick whatever company that is.

Honestly I'll probably just get rid of this computer. The dump sounds like a good place for it.

It's called being old. My parents have fallen for shite before. Or they try to be tech savvy and install shite they don't need and frick it up some other way.

We've all made mistakes before with porn and file sharing sites before, so I try not to be too judgmental.

You can format the hard drive and reinstall the OS, you don't have to dump it.

Were you able to watch what they where doing when they were in?

Monitor your bank accts. and especially your credit report. If you are diligent you will be fine

Install Malwarebytes on your computer and run a scan. They could have installed a key logging file on your computer.
