Have you figured out your travel logistics and stuff? Are you going to be with family and friends soon?

I don't think I can go. I don't have any credit cards and the flight is $600 from Minneapolis to Nashville round trip.

Take a road trip with friends to his funeral in his honor.

As sad as the funeral will be, he wouldn't want people to be depressed on his account. It's very easy to tell people who've lost someone to celebrate their death, but that is harder to do in reality.

Our minds aren't programmed that way.

However, a celebration of his life will work wonders toward healing. I encourage you to try this if possible.

A road trip with close friends would do the trick. It would be far cheaper, everyone could split travel costs, and it would be a great way to celebrate his life through bonding and highway experiences.

It is solid advice, thanks killz.

But it's tough to do when I found out just a few hours ago. And tough because he was only 24. And how he passed (burning) makes it hard to grasp.

I rented a car though so it'll help when I get to be around people.

lost a friend last month when his plane crashed in louisiana. being around people who feel the same pain is a huge relief. hope you get that soon.

sorry for your loss, and even though the next few weeks are gonna be pretty rough, just keep moving forward.

That's terrible news, Vol Fan or not. Prayers go out to his family.

Hope you are doing okay yourself.

Just stopped in to check on you and make sure you were holding up... do you have something to help you sleep if you need it?

Thanks everyone.

Bella, I took a sleeping pill and drank a lot. Not the best idea, but I slept like a rock. I wouldn't have slept otherwise.

I'm struggling today though unfortunately.Facebook only makes it worse. Considering deactivating it for a while.
