Like I said, it's based solely on personal experience. People who wear giant flag clothes around here on a daily basis are typically trashy as frick. 
It's obviously not going to be the case everywhere. I'm sure you look like a streak of badass patriotism in your all-flag get-up.
And yeah I probably see this through the same lens as some people see football jerseys. It's not something I'll ever do, but to each his own.

I really enjoy the different perspectives we, as Americans, are free to express. I laughed hard listening to the OP's link. I also enjoyed some of Cross's takes on other subjects. We have a great nation. The eagle needs both of its wings to fly.
