I have sleep paralysis quite often. Pretty horrifying. I've trained myself now where I just remind myself it's not real when it happens.

I've experienced it. Kinda weird. Scary, until you realize it is just sleep paralysis.

I have never had it. I believe that those who have experienced it are genetically inferior to me.

I experience it often. I have since I was in my mid 20's. Scared the shite out of me the first couple of times, now it doesn't bother me at all.

It happens to me a couple of times a year. It's usually when I am between light sleep and deep sleep when taking a nap. I wake up, can't move, and feel like I'm going to die because I can't breath. I do everything I can to wake out of it. Scares the hell out of me every time.

In these moments, they say you obtain the answers to all the world's mysterious. Problem is, you can't talk, and there's no one there to ask the questions.

Tell your doctor you have coughing issues that keep you up at night. Get prescribed some hydromet syrup. After 30 minutes lay down and turn off all the lights but try and stay awake.

Welcome to sleep paralysis.

Yup, happens to me a lot. It's scary as shite

One time it felt like something was sitting on me and punching me, and I swear I could hear it too.

Anybody ever experienced this?

All the time. Happens at least once a week with me. Most of the time it happens when I am taking a nap in the afternoon. First time it started happening to me was when I was 13 or 14. It's so common now that when it happens I think in my head "frick. Not this again. Guess I have to sit here until I can move again". When it happens I focus on breathing.

Sometimes I can roll my head just enough that I wake my entire body up. I can just barely open my eyelids sometimes but it takes so much effort to do that. Other times if I lose focus I fall back into my dream immediately. It's definitely a weird experience but I've been dealing with it for a while now. Apparently it's a sign that you have sleep apnea.
