Did they cancel the mandatory squadron pt? I know when I got out in '07, it had kicked up pretty well where you had to do squadron pt. It was pretty awful..just a big clusterfrick most of the time.

Every squadron now has mandatory PT "programs," but they can run them how they see fit. It's just as much a charlie foxtrot as it ever was

Aggiebelle is a PTL, actually. That's kind of turned into a shite job. The overweight whales come to her 1 month before their pt tests and expect her to work miracles and then leadership looks at her like it's her fault when they don't eat right and fail

Anytime I smell a saltwater swamp.. I am back at Parris Island for just a few seconds.

This happens to me often. Not just the smells, but if the weather is just right and I'm out for a run or something at 6 am and the sun is coming up, I'm right back in Parris Island circa '99.

I read recently about one ex PTL's idea to test quarterly. That way the people that only try to "keep in shape" around test time are more likely to make the lifestyle change. Quarterly could be a bit much, but I do like the idea of more than once a year.

The smell of Hawaiian Tropic suntan lotion (or even coconut) takes me back to my college days and the hotties laid out on the 'beach' at Lake DeGray just outside my college town. Probably the only person that gets a boner when somebody breaks out the coconut cake.
