In all honesty, I would hate to be put in the same category as deltaland. He admitted to occasionally saying racist things, and said most in the south probably are racist from time to time. That bothers me, because I'm not, nor have I ever been. It makes me extremely uncomfortable IRL to be around others who talk negatively about another race.

I'd say there is a lot of honesty in that statement. Just like the backlash Mark Cuban got, I'm sure he's gotten his fair share as well. Also, he didn't say you specifically, he said most and whether or not you're part of most, the statement is still true.
Also, I'm not saying it's wrong, but you just made a mexican joke. Whether you meant it or not, some people could be offended by it, so didn't you just do the same thing you said makes you feel uncomfortable around?

it would be even truer if you expand it from the south to anywhere in the world. Other countries do extremely racist things

Yeah most of these conversations are just talking about the US I think. Other countries are way more racist than the south ever thought about being.
