Most police wont pull you over unless you're going at least 11 over. A deputy literally told SO that it was his agency's policy.

A bunch, 4 speeding tickets and 1 for having my tail light out. No telling how many I managed to get out of.

Hmmm... Less than 10?

I think I've received 3 tickets total. Maybe 4?

I went 10+ years with no ticket and then got one 2 years ago in a school zone. I was looking for the School admin building on the right side of a street the week before schools started. Apparently a private school on left had started school that week and I was doing 45-50 (the posted limit) in a 25.

The officer believed me (and looked up my record)but couldn't get me out of a ticket. He was nice enough to make it something like 35 in a 25 instead, so that was appreciated.

When I was 17 yrs old... ticket for doing 77 in a 55 down I-459. $80 ticket

Again at 17 yrs old... ticket for improper start by Bham police. It seems doing a burn out from a redlight with a police 3 cars behind wasn't smart. $49 ticket

Pulled over by a state trooper for speeding and straight headers and walked away with a warning after got to talking fishing.

Pulled over by Bibb Co for speeding, got a warning for admitting I messed up and yes sir/no sir.

Pulled over Gardendale for speeding, ended up knowing mutual folks, got a warning.

Oh, pulled over by Harpersville for changing lanes without my blinker. Warning as well.

Only 1 of those above has been in the last 15 yrs.

The better question is...how many times have you gotten away?

I was once pulled over at 2am and handcuffed in a Dairy Queen parking lot in Athens. Was not arrested though. It's a long story that might give people the wrong idea.

How are you still alive, TBird? If MSNBC's narrative is correct, you should've been gunned-down in cold blood by your 3rd violation.

Been pulled over three times.

1. Speeding 23 over, ticketed for 8 over.
2. Speeding in a school zone. Warning.
3. Taillight out. Friendly "just letting you know".

I'm cool with cops.

7 times with 3 tickets.

Once, I was going 98 in a 75 mph zone on I-75 in Tennessee. Cop stopped me near Stinking Creek Road exit.

It was Christmas Eve so I told him I was trying to get to Lexington to see my kids because they would be with their mother on Christmas Day and that I only had Christmas Eve to see them. Thankfully, I had presents in the back seat. He told me to slow down to 85 mph and to be careful. I still think of that cop fondly.

It's only been a felony to run in a vehicle here probably 12 or so years, if that. When I was younger I did too. Especially at night.
