As a kid, I duck hunted regularly and dove hunted every Labor Day weekend. Used to deer hunt frequently until 3-4 years ago. Life just got so busy between work and raising kids as a single parent I didn't have the time to devote to it.

Use to spend 1000's. Camp, travel, shite I tore up, tractors, guns/ammo. Got sober, bought small piece 120 acre piece of land. Just me and my kids hunting on it, kill better deer, come out way ahead. So much we go on one hunt out of state every year.

I went squirrel hunting as a kid. I would rather target shoot, and fish. It just wasn't my thing.

Grew up on the northern plains near the canadian border. Nary a day passed that we weren't hunting or fishing. Enjoy the hell out of the outdoors, nothing as refreshing. But, older and wiser. Still hunt but with cameras instead of rifles and shotguns.

I've always wanted to go but I'm not exactly sure how to get started. I'm 25 and have enough money but don't know if I should just ask my friends if I can tag along or what.

Didn't grow up hunting, but my father in law got me into it. Its nit my favorite thing, and with each passing year I have less and less desire to actually shoot a deer. I live sitting in a tree stand early in the morning and watching the world cone alive. I usually just read a book though after that, then tell everyone I didn't see anythung worth shooting. Probably let 5 or 6 good deer go last year, one 9 point.

I do stillvery much enjoy going on dove shoots. Been on two already this season. Quail hunts are fine, but there are no more wild quail in Alabama. They release farm raised ones a few hours beforehand and they're pretty easy to shoot.

Quail hunting is my favorite, with dove second. Although, when I go into the woods deer hunting, I almost always come back with something to eat...

Usually persimmons and muscadines.

Hunting and fishing has always been big in my family. Earliest memories are of squirrel hunting with my grandpappy back in the late 50s ... duck hunting with my Dad and uncles and cousins at our family cabin in Maddox Bay, Arkansas ... my Dad's Dad built the place in 1917 when he got back from WWI and we just sold the property this past June ... all the cousins were too spread out and old to visit much anymore and now there are multi million dollar homes on the bay. My paternal Grandfather paid $11 for over three acres. We sold it for just over $220,000.00. They tore down the old cabin. We've got pictures of us, men only were allowed, with ducks stacked high on top of the picnic table like a pyramid.

I raised all of my kids hunting and fishing ... I've kept this farm as much for that as anything. We've got deer, turkey, wild pigs, coyotes, quail, dove and crows on this property.

We fish the lakes depending on the season. Strippers and black bass on Lake Murray, catfish, brim, crappy and black bass on Santee Cooper.

My nephew and Son took two big gators this past weekend ... one 8 footer and one 11 footer.

When we are not at ball games or not around the house we're usually hunting or fishing somewhere. Even my girls hunt with their husbands.

We eat what we kill ... even the gators.

We go to Texas every December for a hunt out there on family land and another big hunting club. Big axis is my favorite game meat of all but I'll take a mulie in a heartbeat if one presents itself.
