I've been addicted to vacuum insulated cups and mugs for going on 18+ years. First one was a Nissan Stainless coffee tumber. I have a set of Nissan stainless pint glasses I bought about 13-14 years ago. I like to keep a cup of water on my night stand at night. The glass will still have ice in it in the morning when I wake up. I wish someone would make one with a polished interior instead of the bead blasted finish. That way you could pour a beer in it without them foaming up too much.

I honestly don't buy Yeti because their shite is so outlandishly expensive. This thing like $40?
The only cooler I would ever spend money on for a high dollar is one like this that my dad has had for 20 years:
If it is going to serve a ton of people, it needs 4 wheels, not two, and only something that large is going to need to stay cold for 5+ hours. I've never in my life seen a better, more practical cooler than this thing that's 20 years old and they don't make anymore. There are some Yeti after market attachments, but for the whole shebang is gonna cost you close to $1000. frick that.

That thing looks 90's as frick.
but also looks good for it's age.
it'd mind boggling that people spend this sort of money on a cooler

I'm probably going to pick up one. The SO's parents have a few and the drinks stayed super cold in them for hours out at the pool. And you'll easily pay $15-$20 for a decent sized Tervis tumbler so it's not that pricey.

Got the small one at a clay shoot, and the big one last Christmas. Now that I have one I would probably buy another if I needed to. Great for Mixed Drinks.
Don't see the point in a yeti cooler unless you go offshore fishing often...In which case money probably isn't a huge concern.

Like I said I'm usually in BFE on jobsites and the fact that my Brute Box (1/2 the price of a Yeti) will keep ice for days after it gets cooled off is priceless to me especially in this heat.

Those wheels are awesome. Not kidding.

Coleman makes a 5 day cooler that can be had for less than $50. Really only lasts 4 days but still great for taking to lake when company is expected on the 2nd or 3rd day.

Was just in TX and drank out of the 20 oz and it seemed to work pretty well in the blazing sun. I still prefer drinking out of a can with a koozie, I guess I'm old fashioned.

The only issue I have with the Coleman is it doesn't hold up as well as the new roto molded coolers.

On the OP, I absolutely love my 20 Oz ramblers. I fill it up before bed and when I wake up at night it's nice to have some ice left and cold water. I take mine everywhere

I like mine. I only use it for cold drinks and bought it for about half that though.

I do not have the rambler but I do have a yeti 65 that I won at a baseball game. The cooler is well worth the price. I hand made some folding wheels to go on the bottom for when I have to tote the thing around. But it will still have ice in it after a 5 day kayak trip and I've never had another cool last past 3.

That's just a picture I found on the internet, and the coloring is a little bit different, but it's still in good shape.

I mean, I understand the desire to pay a premium price for a premium product, and there was obviously a market that wasn't being reached, but it really is absurd. And one of the Yeti founders is an Aggie, so it wouldn't kill me to know that my money was just further establishing Aggie greatness, I just don't see how I could ever spend that kind of money on a cooler. It's an effing cooler.

Agreed. I really want one. I have offered to buy that cooler from dad for a decade and he won't sell it to me, and I can't find a 4 wheel cooler anywhere. I've tried. For years. Two wheel coolers on grass are essentially useless, and I just have a couple of cheap small ones as a result. And I've looked in to this, the actual reason the big 4 wheel cooler no longer exist, and one of the reasons that Yeti has actually be successful... is that they take up too much space on the big box shelves. No kidding. And I'll be 100% honest, if I can find one of those big Rubbermaid 4 wheel coolers for $250 bucks, I'd buy it no questions asked. I think all that gets you is like the smallest Yeti.

I'm sure they're nice, but a 52-ounce Bubba Keg for $12 is a much better buy.

I don't think the 52 oz bubba king is going to fit in my cup holder or on a coaster.

Fawx, I think you're beta as frick, but that cooler is alpha as hell.
