I'd love to go back soon. I love unique places like that. Some of my relatives live in OS, & we go when I visit.

We're probably related then. Born & raised.

Could be.
Part of the family, eons ago, was originally from Moss Point, but some "migrated" to OS.

You want good BBQ in College Station, too bad. There is none. Go into north Bryan and eat at Fargo's. It's the best in town, bar none. And don't you dare come to eat BBQ in Texas and not order brisket. Brisket, ribs, and sausage is what you need, from Fargo's. Remember that, you won't be sorry

Fargo's in Bryan has the best Aggieland BBQ IMO especially for brisket

It's really just one big area, Bryan/College Station. Just the other end of town. Probably about 15 minutes away

if you come to Hoover for the SEC Baseball tourney go to Full Moon or Golden Rule. Golden Rule is small and quick if you're on the go. If you have more time try Full Moon. Regardless of your fandom, they have some fantastic Alabama and Auburn memorabilia.

Moe's BBQ started in vail, co by a couple bama grads. Brought their concept back to the south.

I used to live in vail before they expanded past their original location in lionshead.

They are doing well.

I used to think the same way, until I had some truly great brisket. You can't get good pulled pork here like you can in the Southeast/Carolinas. However, I discovered that the beef I had eaten at BBQ joints in other parts of the country doesn't measure up to what I get here.

Eat the brisket at Franklin BBQ in Austin or go to one of the joints in Lockhart and you will change your mind. I am still a pork guy, but not by much anymore.
