Yes it is this weekend. It's pretty good, lots of great food, arts and crafts booths and live music.
The weather is awesome here right now . And the waters is as clear as I've seen it in years. We're going spearfishing this weekend.

Maybe y'all can answer this, coming from Memphis should I go down 55 and cut across or should I go down 78 to 45?

78 to 45. Beware: the MHP is bad on both of those roads.
If you come down 55, you have to take 49 and then 98 to get to Mobile, then I-65 to I-10. 49 is full of shite drivers, and 98 is 2 lanes for a pretty good stretch when you hit the MS/AL state line.
