If there's anything the internet has taught us, it's that there are very few people who only have basic, bland, "normal" sex their whole lives. Everyone's got their kinks. Most times several kinks, or permutations of multiple kinks

Yeah, this is really just an interesting look at some of the neurological elements of it. I am not agreeing or disagreeing with it.
If the science behind it is true, the danger it would pose would be the possibility of the endless need for more violence to be aroused. This could turn what was consensual sex into sexual abuse. Or the subject could turn to needing real lack of consent to be aroused.
ETA: This article does focus on BDSM, but also mentions that there are many ways into this. I'm definitely not demonizing BDSM or other sexual kinks, just learning
