The thing I loved about Bayeux and nearly every city in Northern France is that it's a town about the size of Jasper, Alabama but in the center of it is a giant arse cathedral. I did really enjoy it there, other than the food which was subpar (too British)

Barcelona was just okay to me. I loved Madrid and Seville.

I really liked Paris as well.

I really regret not getting into Portugal on my trip there. My brother raves about Portugal.

I have some really good pictures that I took of the Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Bayeux. It was stunning. IIRC, I had some pretty good galettes and crepes at a little place on the creek there. Le Moulin de Galette. Pretty good pizza at one place too, but I cannot remember the name of it.

There was an awesome street market going on too, but we were on our back back to Paris that evening and didn't want to transport much.

Kind of tough question, my favorite cities to visit are Edinburgh and Rome. I would most like to live in Stuttgart.

Is that still a thing? I thought it was less than a dollar like years ago?

well prices have increased a little the past month, it is 27 crowns for a pilsner beer, which is $1.18, most expensive beer i've had here is $3.50, but still cheaper than any i had back in the States

I liked everything about Paris except for the city and it's inhabitants. I can see why people love it but for me it's just too dirty and the Parisians are assholes for the most part. I love the French people though. The people I've met that are French say to not lump them in with Parisians

I had always heard that but they were overly nice to us, but we also had a girl with us that spoke fluent French. She did tell us they're pretty chill if you at least try to speak French to them before resorting to English. We also spent a lot of our time away from the touristy areas, so maybe that had something to do with it.

I did notice a difference in their response to me when I asked them if they spoke English in French. They would still act annoyed though.

Contrast that with Seville where the people there seemed to LOVE practicing their English with us. I spoke fairly fluent Spanish at the time, and they seemed upset when I would speak Spanish to them.

And the women there....my God, the women Seville.

Food is a little bit cheaper than it is back in the US, usually $5 or $6 for a burger or duck. can get a good steak for about $12

Prague is definetely a bargain relative to the more expensive cities in Western Europe.

For me Barcelona, Munich, London

I've never had a Parisian be rude to me, but I speak French. I dunno. MIL doesn't speak it and doesn't even try, no one was rude to her either when we went there with the IL's. Everyone has different experiences.

Well, yeah, if you had to deal with tourists every day, you'd get a little snippy too.

Besides, the best parts of Paris are away from the touristy areas, tucked into neighborhoods.

My favorite is Prague too. Budapest is a close second.

San Sebastian on the north coast of Spain is a great small city.
