Yeah, I guess the OP thinks the post is very funny and clever, when it is very sad and unfortunate.

Of course you pay more attention to the LSU poster than the horrible tragedy. Do you have a soul?

Did you watch John Oliver talking about it last week? Pretty good.

Nope, no shame in my game you arse. You obviously have never had to deal with someone with a legit mental illness so I'm going to ignore you from now on and just pray that you never have to.

I blame the machete. They are too easy to get.

I bought one for my friend's birthday just for the hell of it late last month for eight dollars at Walmart. You're really not lying.

Yeaaaah I can see the problems with that. But I'm more strung up about the content of the crime. Horrible tragedy and I hope the fella can find himself as the justice system processes him.

Its sad how few people understand mental illness.

The reason he used a machete was because he literally believed he was Denzel Washington's character from "The Book of Eli". He believed God was speaking to him and all that. This is all coming out now since this happened.

That's a kind of crazy that mainstream society just cant cope with, so we just dont.

That's the kid that disappeared a few years ago and turned up crazy. What a sad story. I feel badly for the victim, and for Johnson's family.

What's even scarier... There are a lot more people out there just as crazy. Put a gun in there hands and eventually they explode. Sad

if it were a gun there would probably be several more folks laying in body bags tonight. thankfully, and still tragically, this was not the case.

Disappointed his family didn't fight more for him to get treatment.

I won't pretend to know the ins and outs of the situation but I do know that family CAN reach that point of "trick it, I'm done with him". Hope that didn't happen.

Just so sad for the victim and his family too. No winners here.

I certainly hope his schizophrenia hx is well documented.
Cuz on the surface, this easily sounds like a "not guilty by reason of insanity plea"...to a homicide that could just as easily be perceived as a hate crime.

Prayers for the victim and his family FIRST.

If this poor kid is ill, then prayers for him as well.

I'd argue that people like you, who can't recognize that we need to be addressing things like mental illness to try to prevent these things from happening, are the bigger issue.

This.. They just want to throw out words like evil to explain everything away, science be damned. People don't realize how close most people are from snapping, we're overstimulated beyond belief.

Mental health care should be public priority #1. If you don't think so, just remember this story the next time you're jogging.

Just sad. And scary as hell. You're out there getting your swear on and then BAM you are getting attacked formnondiscernable reason other than being at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Prayers to all

Without a doubt. And while WRL has sketchy areas/past it's in a nice location. It's not like this happened in Pleasant Grove.
