legalize prostitution.

It's criminal to have a woman's half naked body on every advertisement in America but lock up two adults who concent to each other to have sex. Let alone, miraculously being okay with that same woman then using that same body in a strip club for money and everything's okay.

Dude, we must talk. How do you feel about walking the gray lines of federal trafficking laws? I have a high risk/low reward investment opportunity that I'm looking for the right person to jump fearlessly into that at first, and second, glance appear to provide no detectable benefit to you what so ever.

It's mind-bogglingly absurd.

There's times when all a guy really needs is to frick. He'll be alright, just needs to frick. And there's times all a woman really needs is $20 dollars.

You can't explain that!

I'd be really scared to know what a $20 hooker would look like. That'd be the only bj odd want to wear a condom.

But prostitution boils down to the religious influence on our society. There are certain things that while not a good thing, are going to happen, and have always happened throughout human history. By criminalizing rather than properly regulating it it, you actually make the society less safe.

And since legalization, the only real concern the Coloradans currently have about it, is fear that the economy here is very strong, but that it's really just a bubble. And that once legalization spreads, the bubble might burst.

I'll keep the bubble from popping.

It just goes to show you how everything is about money. How can the gov't get a cut of the money if you pay for sex from your neighbor?

Which is why I can't believe that the gov't wouldn't want to legalize weed. Unless they were making a lot of $$$ off the blackmarkets.

I dont really give a shite one way or another but I always get a chuckle when someone starts a thread like this. Too many people have issues with drugs in general and it has a terrible affect on families in many ways.

How many things can you say that about though?

Too many people have issues with porn in general and it has a terrible affect on families in many ways.

Too many people have issues with overeating in general and it has a terrible affect on families in many ways.

Too many people have issues with poor spending habits in general and it has a terrible affect on families in many ways.

Comparing one bad thing to another doesn't necessarily make it good. That is like children pointing out their siblings bad behavior to excuse their own. I think drugs and alcohol are the main thing behind the high crime rates. To loosen up the laws may be beneficial to certain public and private sectors, but with every action there is a reaction, and I think the negative effects may outweigh the positive in this case.

Ephesians 4:16 ...every joint supplieth...

Job 41:20 ...out of his nostrils goeth smoke as of a seething pot...

2 Kings 4:41 ...and there was no harm in the pot.

I'll tip my waitress and sit with Baby in the corner...

It's in the Bible. Just ask any Southern Evangelical Republican.

No, Jesus said to follow the law.

Laws used to support segregation and slavery as well.

Guess we should just always follow the law though since it must always be Jesus' will according to how human beings decide.

With all the Republicans the south has, it'll be another 100 years before weed is legalized in the south.

Yup. The south is about 100 years behind on most things, so a marijuana legalization measure making southern ballots in a century or so is probably a safe bet.
