You apparently only read the first sentence of what I wrote genius. For one Bernie is actually socially libertarian and I agree with him on many of those things. Outside of that I don't agree a lot with what he says but Hillary on the other hand I don't seem to agree with her on literally anything and whether you like it or not one of them is going to win the democrat nomination. I might as well vote for the one I like more.
Also you might want to go back to Politics 101 as the primaries are just for the nomination, I said in the general election (the one where you actually vote for who will be president) I'm voting for either Gary Johnson (most likely Libertarian candidate) or if the republicans can produce someone I actually like (which looking at the field of republican candidates will most likely not happen).

I don't know how you gathered that I said or inferred Ron Paul thinks Bernie Sanders is libertarian, or even close to Rand for that matter. I was responding to the contention that Bernie Sanders is the "opposite" of Rand Paul, which is demonstrably false given their overlap on a number of key issues.

I disagree. For someone who is strongly libertarian leaning with regard to certain social issues (anti war on drugs, pro criminal justice reform, DGAF about gay marriage, anti foreign adventurism, and pro privacy), yet may be largely indifferent on centralized tax and benefit structures (income taxes, healthcare, education, welfare), Bernie could potentially represent the most viable alternative to Rand Paul. I would think the number of people who fall into that group is fairly limited, but it's far from "moronic" to assume such a person doesn't exist.

You used a lot of words to not argue or disprove this point.
Sure you can point to a couple issues here and there on everybody's viewpoints that match up. Hell, on isidewith I matched with Bernie over candidates I would vote for in a heartbeat. Hillary was still above Bush for me.
Bernie's economic stances are so starkly different from the Pauls that they aren't in the same stratosphere. One of them is literally the representation of the government in Atlas Shrugged and the other is almost John Gault.

I never said you said that. You're right in saying Bernie's stances aren't the complete opposite from Paul. The issue I had was you seemed to imply that Paul would support Sanders over the other republican candidates. Maybe I jumped the gun there.
