My roommate at UGA had a sister at Bama. We made a few trips over there to hang with her and her friends. Whenever they would take us to any party, fraternity or otherwise, you couldn't go two minutes without somebody offering you blow. It was really strange.

No lie: roughly all of my friends who attended Auburn came home with degrees... about 80% of my friends who attended Alabama came back with DUIs and cocaine addictions.

Drugs are pretty prevalent on any campus that is fun. Anyone who doesn't know about the drug situation on their campus simply isn't in the loop. I wasn't as a freshman, but I found out quickly sophomore year.

You just weren't in the loop. Many of your friends were, but they just didn't trust you. In my fraternity, the people who weren't in the loop were completely ignorant of its existence.

Auburn was always booze, green, and shrooms. Rarely saw more. I saw cocaine every trip to Tuscaloosa. Had a kid explain to me how to make a meth pipe out of a light bulb at a party in ttown. That was my Three Dog Night "Momma Told Me Not to Come" moment.

Its also cheaper in ttown than Auburn. Thankfully I have a buddy interning there this semester so Im saving a little.
