When I was at Alabama, there seemed to be someone selling coke in the bathroom at The Booth every friday and saturday night. Sometimes Gallettes too.

Also xanex or whatever form of a similar class of pill seemed to be pretty much available wherever whenever

There was plenty of coke, no doubt about that, but I never went to a party when it was "flowing". I never seen people do it in the common room of a party. Now people sneak away to bathrooms and bedrooms in smaller groups for sure, but I wouldnt call that flowing.

It was out in the open in multple people's bedrooms and bathrooms at the fraternity parties I went to. No people weren't doing it in the formal room but that's flowing to me.

I guess we have a different definition of flowing. Yours is people doing it, and mine is the scene in blow when he gets busted by the waiters.

Not just doing it, also not hiding it.

They went in their bedrooms, what more do you want from them?

You're right. I wasn't an SAE but I had couple of high school friends that were. I had a lot of childhood/high school friends that were SAEs at Auburn. I attended quite a few SAE parties in Auburn. The stories that pond could tell.

I don't know of any high school or college campus in any state where you can't buy a lot of drugs.

I'm in an old row fraternity at Alabama...Blow and sauce are definitely the most common. Every smokes so I don't really count that. Other than Alabama I have only been to Auburn and Ole Miss and I would definitely say drugs are more accepted/prevelant at Alabama. Not to say that there aren't at other schools because they certainly are there at any school but it's seriously everywhere around here. I was in Auburn the other weekend with a bunch of SAE's and there were no drugs to partake in...I was shocked haha.

Regardless though any big school is gonna have tons of drugs but in my limited experience it is more prevelant at UA..

sauce

is this an understood term everywhere? It may be a good example of what I mean by accepted because sauce means a pill, regardless of type or classification, because at alabama they rarely seem to care.

They are very sinister. I know multiple who climbed the pill ladder and after all the regulations became a part of the Heroin epidemic sweeping the country.

I don't think so. I had never heard the term "get sauced" until I got to Bama.

I had a buddy climb the ladder from the xanax to the LT and up to oxy before he finally got some help. He was basically forced to go to rehab, best thing that ever happened to the guy.

it really isn't an uncommon theme. Especially in the states closer to Florida where like 80% of prescriptions were written due to their lack of a unified system to keep track of prescriptions.

Unfortunately, you're exactly right.

@OP, it's a combo of bigger town and downright asshat cops that will do anything to bring in money. How you think we built that huge courthouse so fast?

Open doors with people all around. It wasn't happening in a private setting

Wasn't in a frat at Bama, but I definitely saw my share of blow while there in the 90's. Only went to one frat party where I saw it being done out in the open, and it was the first time I had ever seen it. Can remember seeing a few folks doing key bumps at football games. Found a bag of blow under that video game thing on the bar at The Booth one night. Took it down to Gallette's and sold it to some guy for $50.

My crowd was more into psychedelics. One summer is kind of a blur because of all the mushrooms I ate.
