Compared to places like Midland,Hereford or Lubbock,or 400 other towns in Texas,Dothan is a fricking paradise.

Lubbock is really not that bad of a town. It's growing and gaining amenities all the time.

The city is composed of strip malls, hospitals, and nice subdivisions. There is a lot of money and some really nice areas. It could be a lot worse, it's not very ghetto or trailer park infested. It's not economically depressed, decayed, or crime riddled. It's a pure commercial hub, the only city for like 100 miles in any direction covering a dozen counties and three states. No one goes to Dothan because Dothan rules, they go to do some business. They live in the rural Wiregrass, they're not interested in vibrant city life. They go to the city out of necessity. It serves its purpose well. It's fine. No one thinks it's awesome but again could be a hell of a lot worse.

Stopped in on my way through to St George Island, and they sold beer on Sunday. They get my thumbs up.

It's a rather unimpressive town to drive through, but everyone I've met from there have been decent folks. Got nothing against it.

Is there still a condom factory there?

They have all moved over seas. At one time, Dothan was the condom manufacturing capitol of the world. That would have made a better festival than celebrating peanuts imho.

Instead of having a giant Boll Weevil like Enterprise, they could have a giant phallus surrounded by trimmed bushes

It's the last bit of civilization before hitting Panama Shitty. That's about it.

I'm from Dothan. Went to a high school in the more rural part of town. It's a lot better than what you guys make it out to be. I don't find it any worse than New Orleans or Baton Rouge. Or even Jackson, MS for that matter.
