I am not a political guy really but the older I get, the more I pay attention

It truly saddens me to look at this election and how important it is and that we are probably going to pick from Donald Trump and Hilary to lead all 330 million of us

I just cant get that out of my head.

Yeah my company is setting up a client tournament there for our tri-cities clients. However, I'm moving to Nashville end of year. What are some good courses there?

So you've walked 18 in TX Hill country and didn't get a workout? Beastmode. I'm in good shape and walking 18 at some of the courses around here can be a great workout.

I will say, I don't really believe that you've walked 18 at a hilly course in Texas. Seems a little convenient for your internet debate

Thankfully he/she will only be 1/3 of the equation, there are 544 people who fill in the other 2/3.

Our system isn't perfect, but by God they got it right when they decided to split the powers.

You read my post a little too fast, cas4t

I said I'd walked 18 in MO and VA

The courses I've done in TX were on Lackland AFB and the TAMU campus. Decidedly not hilly

Just saying there are plenty of hilly courses in TX. You were acting like the state is flat as a board

Man, there's a lot.

McCabe (public and very busy-no tee times), Hermitage (very nice and expensive), Shelby (basically downtown Nashville-super affordable. Literally like $14 for 18 holes), MBA, Country Hills (not in Nashville but close. My favorite course), Pebble Brook, Ted Rhodes, and more. That's off the top of my head.

You've played golf quite a bit and in numerous states to be someone who doesn't enjoy the game. This takes us back to my previous point that you usually don't enjoy things you're not good at. And golf takes years to become enjoyable in that manner. I personally enjoy being outside and with friends. There's also no such thing as beginners luck in my experience. Maybe on one hole, but over the course of 3-4 hours and 18 holes, nah.

And I just assumed you didn't walk 18 on a hilly course in TX. Fair assumption since you apparently think the game is "dumb", whatever that even means

Dude, I was in the Air Force. The flyboy acronym for "Golf" is "Ground Operational Launch Facility." Had plenty of friends who'd randomly invite me. I enjoyed the company, but the game itself bored me.

For someone who says they're not going to be offended by my views on golf, you're pretty touchy, man

So in other words, you're like most people who play golf. You were not good but you enjoyed being with friends.

I never intimated that I was good Nor do I have to be amazing at a sport to enjoy it. I suck at tennis, but it's much more exciting and enjoyable to me.

Golf is boring to me. I think the game is dumb.

I think that's what makes them "friends"

You sure seem play a lot of games that you aren't good at I never said you had to be amazing to enjoy golf. I'm not amazing. I'm serviceable at best and don't slow the game down.

You're missing the point. Not being very good at golf makes it unenjoyable for a lot of folks because you have to search for your ball which is time consuming and frustrating, then you back up the people playing behind you, front desk comes out to tell you to hurry up, and then you're playing rushed which makes you play worse. It's much more enjoyable when game is flowing.

You don't have to worry about those factors in other sports like tennis or bowling. That's all I was implying. Being bad at golf has a domino effect.

oh so I assume you agree with scrooster then? I assume that's the post you think I was being "hoity toity" with? and if you think repeatedly posting "golf is dumb" is cutting me down to size, then you're an even nicer guy than originally thought. That's grade school level insults, literally

No, you just implied that that was why I thought it was dumb.

I'm well below your talent level, I assure you

Granted. I'm just not wired that way. I don't mind the company, and I'm not so horrible that I slow the game down, I'm just not thrilled by the game itself.

Well to be fair the only information I have is that you think the game is dumb and you are not good at it. In my experience, those go hand in hand. And you haven't provided any other reasoning. I just used context clues.

I really was just trying to get you to admit that you don't like the game because you aren't good at it which I still believe
