I also will not buy any Berkley fishing products - lost 2 huge steelhead in one day on their Berkley Vanish fluorocarbon line. It was 15lb test and it broke before my 6lb test tippet broke (which was Seaguar and is the best imo).

I won't ever use Bank of America. They gave me a $7,500 credit line when I turned 18 with no job and no credit. Personal decisions lead me to get myself in ccard debt and took years to pay off. All my fault but I still hate BoA for it.

I boycott geaux.com because of the unscrupulous business activities of its founder.

Why Lowes?

2 incidents in particular.

they sold me paint that did not match the color they advertised even remotely. took it back they tested and said, what do you know, it doesn't. and didn't refund the purchase.

i was remodeling a bathroom once and a Lowe's dude was with another customer. understood. i sat and waited 20 minutes. he got done with her walked away and he said "sorry man, going on break."

so i went to home depot and had somebody immediately help me start to finish on the project.

that was 8 years ago and i've never been disappointed in Home Depot customer service since.

actually just Monday i was in Houston with my BiL and he was buying 2k+ in stuff to build a new deck at Lowe's. not one person came to help him during the whole time. I will say they helped us load up a bit of 50+ pieces of lumber.

Berkley works for me, but i'm not an avid fisherman. i just use spincasts and spinner rods.

I won't eat at the Baumhower's in Montgomery because it took them about an hour to turn on the NHL playoffs one time. That's the only one I can thing of.

Yes.

Big banks - I do the vast majority of my banking with either a credit union of small community bank.

Large chain restaurants - refuse to eat them because their food sucks.

Walmart - just a miserable shopping experience.

I hate big insurance companies, but it's nearly impossible to boycott them.

Yep. I know the 6lb test tippet is risky but its necessary or they'll see it. I saw no reason for that heavy leader line to break midway between the knots TWICE (leader connects the fly line and the tippet). Those fish are too difficult to catch as it is. Never again.

No joke. Filled out a ccard app at an Astros playoff game and they gave me a shirt and Astros throw blanket. A week or two later, I had a sweet Astro's BoA credit card and I felt like a king. Paid off in full the first few months , then it started going down hill. I was dumb and didn't know how interest worked.

That's the trivial shite I like to hear

I refuse to go to a sports bar here in Nashville because they left it on a movie (on silent) for almost the entire 1st quarter of a saints game after I asked my server 3 times to change it

No Citgo gas

No Sears (two incidents- One refrigerator delivery gone wrong, one crappy blower and a terrible manager refusing to return it. I have a ton of craftsman hand tools, but I'm not buying any more.)

No GM- still driving an 08, but once it's done, so am I. Still pissed about taxpayer $ bailing out crappy business practices.

No Lowes for appliances (3 damaged dishwashers delivered in a row)

Nope. I care more about the quality of the product than I do about the companies dealings. I used to get angry at crappy service at a restaurant, but now I don't let it affect my view so much.

Best way to put this is a good joke from Jerrod Carmichael

Ahh I have a buddy who refuses to buy GM because of how they advertised during the Super Bowl last year stating they paid off their debt, when in reality they just paid off the interest.

Warranted IMO

There's plenty of places I don't do business with but I wouldn't say I hold a grudge. It just happens that I prefer another brand.
