He's a hell of a lot sharper than I previously thought him to be. Before this I had always pictured him as 17 year old who spent all day on Youtube and College humor

To be fair, he hadn't really set the bar high for himself with his threads.

I always assume people have a passion about something, and are knowledgeable about it to some degree.

Kent Hovind, maybe?

Wikipedia. Your hard research inspired me.

I've never heard of www.earlychristianwritings.com. Do you know who writes the information on the website?

I come here just to have fun, escape the serious stuff and to hate on Cops. I save my serious side for my professional life.

I've always imagined Stacked as an adult student between 26 and 34. He may work part time and has probably attended college before this current round as a student. He is also probably divorced. That and he frequents ebaums world.

I can't tell you how many Christians I've disagreed with in my life. The big question I have is why are you all of a sudden trusting the opinion of Christian when theologically you disagree with everything else he says?

Just giving you a heads up on why you're wrong regarding authorship. It's almost ubiquitous that the majority of the New Testament is anonymous, and even those with a conflict of interest agree.

I work 80 hours a week running a house that takes care of kids with autism and other handicaps. Everything else though is right, as I'll be the first to admit I'm a bit of an over=sharer.

And get off of Wikipedia's nuts, man. The references are at the bottom and you wouldn't be complaining if I had linked those -- even if they had the exact same content.

No matter what website I've given you, you've tried to claim that it wasn't adequate. What am I supposed to do, ship my library to you?

That's awesome man. Where did this stacked come from? In the past few weeks you've changed a lot, I didn't like you so much before. New Stacked is ok by me, just please no more stories about ice cubes up your butt.

You speak in long reaching absolutes. With the internet you can find someone who will say what you want them to say. That doesn't make it ubiquitous.

In fact, in no way is it ubiquitous that the the New Testament other than Paul is anonymous or that Jesus never existed. Is it thought by some? Sure. Is it thought by most? No. Does that stop you from stating your opinion as an absolute? Clearly not.

There isn't a thing you're saying that I haven't discussed before and I've grown so tired of it because I finally realized it doesn't matter at all. It's a waste of time. And that is no more clearly shown than you quoting someone who you don't agree with at all just because he has a differing opinion than the person you're arguing with.

I've just been busy as hell and not able to live up to the typical antics. That and school stuff is kicking in. Don't worry though, I'll be around to disappoint you some how in the future, I'm sure of it.

You saying that is fricking hilarious.

I defy you to find a website that isn't named "Answers In Genesis" (just an example, not to be taken literally) that says without a doubt the authorship of Matthew is definitely Matthew.

Scholarship is what it is, you can be in the minority or the majority. My criteria for picking one over the other is a case by case basis and is never the argument's focal point.

I have significant doubts you've had this conversation before. You've used Josephus, for one, and said Matthew is definitely Matthew. If you continued thinking that way, perhaps you've needed stronger opponents in the past.

The Genetic Fallacy, eh? That we disagree on the titled premise, does not mean we cannot have middle ground in which we agree on.

I quote Rommel because I find his wisdom to be correct, however I disagree with Nazism. I expected better from you.

Not really.

Can we all just agree that Bert is fat and call it a thread?

I'm down with this.

Can we please have a real YEC thread in the future though? I know you said it's already been discussed to death but I feel like it would be fun. I can play a YEC believer for the sake of it.

I would be okay with that if not for the fact that a person who believes the Earth is 6,000 years old will be swayed by absolutely nothing.

This isn't like what was being said before, there's a chance for swaying on authorship or even historicity, but for YEC? That ship has saaaaailed. Those people have no center in science, or even understand how the world works to begin with.

But...I'll still see to it that it gets to over a hundred posts.
