Why are all of the planets, stars, galaxies round? So one would assume that the universe is also round. Gravity and rotation is the reason that they are all round. So if the universe is round and rotating what is it rotating around?

Pretty tough to comprehend the size of space. And that's just the parts we're aware of. Do you think space is infinite?

No. Space, or more accurately spacetime, is a thing. The Large Hadron Collider recently proved the Higgs Field and the Higgs Boson, two of the things that make up spacetime.

It can't be infinite if it's expanding. Is expansions still a generally accepted belief?

More than accepted, the expansion of spacetime is proven.

Then what is beyond the expansion at this moment in time?

Nothing.

Off the top of my head, and I could be wrong, but space is not expanding. The stuff in space is expanding. The fact that the stuff in space that's expanding has a place to expand to says that space was already there to begin with.

Spacetime, a real thing, is expanding. Matter in spacetime is not expanding, yet. The theory around the Dark Force says that eventually even matter will expand down to its basic components.

Not all galaxies are round. Dark Matter seems to determine the shapes of galaxies.

Transitive properties don't apply to the shape of the Universe. There are many competing ideas about its shape. The current most popular theory, although not by much, is that it's flat.

Peter Higgs and François Englert. They won the Nobel Prize for Physics with their discovery of the Higgs Boson and the Higgs Field. The Large Hadron Collider recently proved the latter.

If there was something adjacent to the boundaries of the Universe, expansion would be inhibited. One idea, M Theory, says that the Universe was created when two Branes touched together at a point.

So, the idea that there is something beyond the Universe is popular but that doesn't exclude that there is nothing between the Branes, thus not inhibiting our U's expansion.

All theories that are impossible to prove.

All of these statements should start with "some scientists believe" or "most scientists theorize"

At this time with current technology. Time and change are synonyms in physics.

That's understood in the scientific research community. More accurately it should be "some or most scientists theorize." Some scientists will put forth a theory and most scientists will agree if the theory is solid with evidence likely to be forthcoming. Any theory remains as philosophy until evidence is put forth.

Don't be so argumentative that is the inherent precluding statement in just about all discussions of this type
