People don't want to believe that the American government participates in evil acts simply to push agenda or foreign policy. Deep inside they know it's true, but they'd rather ignore the truth and distract themselves with weekly doses of college and NFL football, baseball, basketball, etc.

I can't blame them.

When you realize that we're powerless to a government supposedly ran "of the people, by the people, for the people", the truth can be quite depressing.

You realize that our way of life and our children's future is merely a commodity that can be bought, sold, or terminated.

You realize that in the "land of the free", freedom is an illusion. We lost our freedoms long ago. Or, rather, we never had true freedom to begin with.
One of the better posts I've ever read on TD. Should be stickied.

I never said I believe this particular conspiracy theory. However, I have zero trust in our government and I believe that our government is absolutely capable of almost anything if it means taking away more freedoms to consolidate more power.

It's happened thorought history time and time again.

Why do you believe our government is different? Is it because the United States has sold itself as the "good guys"? History repeats itself.

I hope you realize that there are countless conspiracies orchestrated by our government which were proven years later. I'll list just a few:

1) Pearl Harbor (FDR knew the attack would occur ahead of time and sacrificed Pearl Harbor as a reason to go to war to end the Great Depression),

2) JFK's assassination (the government immediately acknowledged the conspiracy simply by restricting evidence for a long time frame to protect people involved)

3) From 1963 - 1965 the U.S. government sprayed St. Louis and other American cities such as Corpus Christi with Cadmium Sulfide dust to test nuclear fallout effects on the population (resulted in an alarming cancer cluster)
Nuclear fallout testing on American cities

4) The government ordered members of the military to walk into ground zero of a test nuclear explosion shortly after detonation to test radioactive effects on the military despite knowing how toxic the fallout would be.
Incredible video of soldiers ordered to walk into mushroom cloud

And I can go on-and-on with conspiracy theories that were proven to be true years later.

Please tell me why you trust our government...

ETA: Wanna see something incredible? This isn't conspiracy related, but it's incredible nonetheless. In 1957, 5 members of military volunteered to stand directly under a nuclear explosion at ground zero and film their experience:

What several hundred grade schoolers? The only photo of kids from that day shows about 20 kids walking in a line.

The name of every student in the school that day was documented, both by police and likely by the individual classroom rolls. Their photos are in a yearbook somewhere. Their parents names and addresses on file with the school and state.

You really do buy into conspiracy theories too easily. Think about what you're saying before you make silly comments.

People have and are speaking out, but whenever they do emotional people point and yell, "You're a conspiracy theorist and this is in bad taste!"

Surely you understand the easiest way to cover up an event is to deny it ever happened and simply label the truthers "conspiracy theorists".

Our government has perfected this. No debate.

There are extensive factual refutations of every silly Sady Hook conspiracy claim. It's as absurd as denying evolution in the face of overwhelming evidence.

Let's see the records..

Oh yeah, can't see the records because simply asking for them is insensitive to the "victims" and their families.

I don't trust our government. In fact, I believe our government is borderline if not full blown incompetent. That's been proven more times than the four or five still unproven conspiracy theories you just laid out.

And that's the problem right there.

If you know someone(thing) to be lying, cheating and corrupt, what kind of moron would trust anything they'd tell you?

There's a HUUUUUUUUUUUGE difference between incompetence and corrupt beyond repair.

But you already knew that.

Pathetic strawman. FOX News laughs in your geneneral direction.

What if this wasn't the end game?

I can't tell if you're fricking with me or not but everything I laid out is something that's been asserted in the thread. Not just by someone involved in the conspiracy, but in this actual thread. I don't think you understand what a strawman is. Also I generally believe that if Fox News disagrees with me then I'm living right.

As to your other comment, I anxiously await what you actually think the end game was. This should be fun.

Unproven? So the military didn't spray St. Louis Cadmium Sulfide for 2 years even though the residents specifically remember it and documented it with photos? So Missouri's elected government isn't pressuring the U.S. government to compensate families effected due to the testing?

I guess you're admitting to being a fool?

quote:

'I share and understand the renewed anxiety of members of the St. Louis communities that were exposed to the spraying of (the chemicals) as part of Army tests during the Cold War,' Senator Claire McCaskill wrote to Army Secretary John McHugh.

'The impacted communities were not informed of the tests at the time and are reasonably anxious about the long term health impacts the tests may have had on those exposed to the airborne chemicals.'

Senator Roy Blunt called the findings 'absolutely shocking.'

'The idea that thousands of Missourians were unwillingly exposed to harmful materials in order to determine their health effects is absolutely shocking. It should come as no surprise that these individuals and their families are demanding answers of government officials,' Senator Blunt said.

You would use the fact that you've been doused with Cold War chemicals to win an argument about whether or not you're crazy.

The fact is the police nor the state is obligated to release those records, and you're never going to get then to release the names of hundreds of children. That's common policy everywhere.

Gene Rosen - former actor

There's a video of him practicing his lines with the camera man.

I see you don't bother looking into anything with much depth.

Releasing the names of the surviving students would violate the sixth exemption to the FOIA. Have you ever actually conducted such a request? The names and personal information of private parties, especially that of minors, is typically blacked out if requested documents contain such.

You're not even trying anymore. The person by the same name who you're referring to worked for the SAG (not even the wrong guy was an actor), and it has been proven he was in LA while the interviews took place. Again, snopes has debunked all this shite with actual facts, not loose reaches and coincidences.
