Some jobs, that are also well paying, don't need degrees, but certifications. I've worked projects with guys that have engineering degrees and high school dropouts. And often, the dropouts were making more. It's all about the particular industry.

You would pay someone with 5+ years experience in the field of work less than someone with an associates degree that worked at McDonald's for a "minute"? That's a solid business plan.
