Not like I linked it. Also, I've never been because I don't do drugs anymore because I grew out of degeneracy 10 years ago. It was in the news and was a pretty major story so your average news reader/watcher should know what it is.

Lastly, didn't it close down after the feds raided it?

S.R. frequenter, huh?

I once got some hella cheap flea and tick meds from a tweaker, who also sold meth pipes. Said individual was known to post lingerie shots of herself in the forums lol. Hysterical times. Despite statutes of limitations passing I try not to discuss other purchases, but yeah... was buying bitcoins when they were single digits, and spending a lot of them. Still am today, but for legal cryptocurrency trading purposes.

Had I known what I do about cryptography now, back in the late 90's I would've listened a lot more to schools like MIT or the naval academy (since TOR is their baby) I was an uber math nerd before deciding I wanted to be a d1 athlete more. It's weird how a newer passion has resparked a previous interest.

Agreed that most know what it is. But a year or so ago ppl on tOTL had to resort to initials bc if we actually stated what it stood for, threads got whacked.

Congrats on outgrowing your degeneracy...not sure how far into you got, but most would call addiction a disease.

I'm not sure about what happened to it..I did hear that it got raided but I thought I heard later that it was back not long after.

Honestly I've never purchased a bitcoin or anything from S.R. to begin with, but I did check it out after hearing about it mostly out of morbid curiousity. Some weird shite there.

They shut down the site. Then they created S.R. 2.0.. As far as all the other stuff, I don't know how people can watch all those type videos and look at all the gore and other sick stuff that goes on there. People that say it's not a big deal need to seriously get checked.

Bitcoin is currency that can be bought legally. That's all the dark web will take for payment. Then your legally bought currency can now buy illegal products on the dark web without a trace.

This thread inspired me to watch 'Deep Web' last night. It's as much of a propaganda piece as it is a documentary, but frick was it interesting.

Thanks for the good topic.

I want to find out more, but really dont want to see the CP. Any way to look at the hidden documents and other interesting stuff without having to navigate through the other shite?

Whats this "Live Leaks" that was mentioned earlier?

It's definitely interesting. It's also strangely addictive. You get the kind of feeling somebody is watching you or keeping tabs on what you're doing while you're looking around.
What little bit Of exploring I did on there I can tell you that 90% of the links do not have descriptions beside them, just random numbers or letters. So literally every link you click is a chance of seeing something you'll never forget. The more links you click, the less faith in humanity you'll have.
Everything on there isn't evil. There are some groups that set out to catch CP predators and do them harm. I think one way or another, justice will be served to those bastards, in this life or the other.
