If you buy 25 gallons of oil and years worth of filters at once it adds up much lighter. Less trash too.

Just ordered a brand new BendPak 10,000lb 2 post lift. Gonna make oil changes as well as lots of other shite way easier.

I got 16' at the eves and 20' in the center so I can build a loft over the lift

Already got a small apartment loft built in one corner of it

You can buy a new BendPak for around $2500 for a 7000lb capacity. Which is plenty big unless you are lifting a welding truck like I need to.

The used two post I was eyeballing ended up getting sold for $800. All it needed was the down solenoid. Owner had it rigged for years but Never splurged on the 40 dollar part..

Yeah there's some good deals out there. I went with the new one because it comes with all the different lifting point attachments free and I need those things. Plus it has a nice warranty. It's also hard to find 10,000lb used ones that weren't abused.

Changing oil in both vehicles justifies me drinking beer in the shop listening to classic rock. My wife probably thinks I'm the slowest oil changer on the planet.

This man gets it.

Pay the kid across the street to do mine. I don't think I could do it on my own. The filter on my car is apparently a bitch to get to.

Yes, I pay with money. Pervs.

Yeah but they are old ones. I'll take some of what it looks like now next time I am there. Hete is some stuff I'm building on the woodworking side.

Those aren't finished yet gotta build the doors and drawers yet.

The lift will go about 4 ft in front of where that truck is. Those don't show it all but that's all I have on my phone.

That's a sweet setup in that Mazda..

There's nothing "poor" about changing your own oil. It actually separates the men from the metros to an extent.. The only thing I don't do myself is mount and balance tires, due to lack of equipment. Everything else gets done there.

Agforlife- your shop is hot. It's a nice distance from the house..

I want to put a urinal in mine soon..

Also what is your oil of choice?

whatever the oil dude puts in there. Can I change my own oil? yeah if I went to the store and got a couple wrenches sure I know how to do it, I've done it before. However It's worth 30 bucks to me to not have to crawl under my car, if I had a that I could use it might be different.

I used to change my own but the dealer can do it as cheap I can buy the materials for, so why bother?

In the process of adding a lean to roof on the house side and another 10 or 12 foot of building next to that single roll up door in the overhead pick for air compressors and my dust collection system.

I have an RV pad I'm covering pretty soon, but it won't be climate controlled like the rest of the shop.
