Pretty quick draw where Carlsen seemed to shut down any attack Anand tried to make by trading pieces. Anands going to have to really try to open the board up and keep his heavy pieces on if he is going to be able to find a way to win and come back.

Time is running our for Anand. Only four games left, and he needs two victories to force a tie break.

Anand has to try for a more dynamic game. I know he was playing black, but he's running out of time. Was hoping he'd try the Sicilian

GAME #9 (Anands last stand)

Congrats to our new World Champion Magnus Carlsen.


Edit: Adding the analysis video. Really shows you how complex the different variations for the end game are and how timely some of the moves are that alleviate the mate attack by white. Also shows a possible blunder by Anand.
