I have no problem with Ebola killing 1/2 a million Africans.
As long as we ban Americans from traveling anywhere close to there and quarantine those that break the ban in Guantanamo for a year.
Let them sort out their own problems.

this is scary shite. I hope the virus doesn't mutate to go airborne

There is always something out there to keep humans from over populating the planet. Sometimes it's a world war other times it's the black plague. This could be the next big one if we aren't careful.

Apparently the trial ebola treatment is racist.

In an excerpt from the statement, the government agency stated, “Early tests of an experimental drug, which would effectively combat the spread of Ebola, have proved successful only in those with white skin — We are working diligently to improve the sample to be able to help all those who are in need.”

That seems like proof that ebola was designed by the KKK/CIA.

I'm sure the US government is working on that as we speak. Isn't it strange that this Ebola outbreaks happens right as they near a vaccine?

Ebola has been around for a while and I'm sure someone has always been "working on it" in some capacity. Being "close" doesn't really mean much. How long have we heard about researchers being close to cure for AIDS?

This is the largest ever outbreak for Ebola. I'm just saying it is strange. It is all very very strange.

Not really. Why create a vaccine until there is a legitimate need for it?

The first outbreak of ebola was in the seventies so they've probably been working on a vaccine for the past twenty years or so. Not working hard but still working. The "largest outbreak ever" was bound to happen eventually. It's not strange at all.

Correct. Ebola is regarded as one of the greatest threats to humanity because of its kill rate and its ability to mutate quickly. Vaccines and cures have been in R & D since the first outbreak in 1976.
With the West Africa epidemic, the process has become priority one and experimental vaccines and cures are being rushed to the region. Hopes are that one or more of the several vaccines and/or cures will be effective and help stop the epidemic before it becomes a pandemic.

Ever play that game pandemic? This feels like it. Got to break the vials before they discover the cure!

Yes. It's playing out a lot like the game, except that a cure is not in sight.
My fear is that it will get into Lagos or some other megacity like Bombai, Mexico City or São Paulo. It may already be impossible to stop but it would surely be a world problem if it gets a stage that big.

That's why we move to Iceland. Those bastards love to close their borders.

I hope I get it so I can avoid any further grinding.

I may sound a bit ghoulish but I find it fascinating to watch. Here is perhaps the last natural enemy of mankind on the attack.
Viruses, and maybe some resistant bacteria species, are the only organisms that can still seriously affect the earth's population of humans. Viruses, especially, have the potential to wipe us out. We are not even close to conquering them as we have almost every other species.

I think the fact that this outbreak has been artificially orchestrated is undeniable and common knowledge at this point. The real question is why and by whom?
Big Oil to depopulate the petrol rich Niger River delta?
The CIA because George Bush doesn't care about black people?
Israel because they're Israeli?
