Heard some good things about Fighting Cock bourbon. Very reasonably priced for a six year 103 proof bourbon, too.

I figure you Gamecocks couldn't resist trying it out so I decided to go straight for the expert opinion.

So - worthy of a try? Thanks in advance.

If its not made in Kentucky, its not bourbon.

Assuming it exists, its name likely has nothing to do w/ USCe.

My lazy arse just googled it. It is bourbon, it is made in KY by Heaven Hill. It has nothing to do w/ South Carolina. Made by Heaven Hill, no way that swill will ever touch my lips.

Heaven Freaking Hill.

I knew it was Kentucky Straight Bourbon, but I figured South Carolina fans would be drawn to it because of the name, so there might be some folks on here that have tried it.

I like me some Elijah Craig.

Can't say I believe their 12 year age statement, though.

If you want a good cheap bourbon, get Weller 7 year. Its a wheated bourbon (and is the same recipe used in Pappy)

Oh I like me some Weller. But it's not near as cheap as Fighting Cock, fwiw.

I've done that some at Sam's Club. Which is nice. But the selection ain't the best.
