First witness reports in events like this are tremendously unreliable, but if this did involve multiple gunmen in tactical gear, we may have just had our first ISIS event in the US.

Inland Regional Center is for the developmentally disabled. Seems like a strange place for an ISIS target, but who knows at this point.

They're saying an explosive device was found nearby. Also the attack seems to have been at a Christmas party and Obama has been briefed. All of this could be rumors pointing to ISIS.

Liberals on social media have already started politicizing it.

ISIS in the West doesn't exactly choose hardened targets. Then again, they're the JV team, amirite!?!? ISIS is contained, amirite!?!?

Good. It needs to be politicized.

Crazy people with guns again surprise surprise. We got to get more gun regulations to keep them from getting guns. That would require republicans going against their sugar daddies the nra

So, 3 gunmen wearing ski masks, body armor, and carrying what is described as automatic weapons sounds like crazy republicans to you?

Well, ok then. Let's see how this plays out.

What makes you think they are insane. Shooting up a public area doesnt make you insane. No psychological test will be able to detect if a person is likely to get mad one day and shoot up a building or join an extreme political action group.

If you are against all citizens having ownership of weapons, then you are not anti gun, you are just pro state monopolization of guns. Which means only those who can buy influence will have access to the enforcers.

I just read a report that the local Public Health department was having a Christmas party there.

The initial reports are probably going to be what the usually are - completely wrong.

If the party part is true and that was the target, going to be a disgruntled former employee or similar situation.

Anybody willing to do something like this probably has some form of mental illness. Sane people don't do things like this

Unfortunately they do. It has become comfortable and popular to dismiss evil but it does exist. The kid who blew up the Boston Marathon was considered a normal kid but he was twisted by ideology into a remorseless killer.

Seems a little too coordinated, imo, if the reports of body armor and multiple gunmen are accurate.

More than likely they're not. They're probably ideologically motivated, and that's terrorism, whether it comes from a muslim in Haifa or a white man with an axe to grind in the United States. Part of the problem is that we tend to write off American mass shooters as "just some crazy person being crazy", which is just whistling past the graveyard. People are becoming more and more polarized in their opinions to the point of violent action. It's scary, and it can be born out of almost any ideology, right or left, Christian or Muslim, white or black.

In a nutshell I'm just trying to say that it drives me crazy the way people will react differently to acts of evil like this. We should always condemn the senseless taking of innocent life. When something like this happens your first thought shouldn't go to politics or "them damn libtards" or "those crazy conservatives" or "those gun lovers." We have a culture of violence bubbling under the surface in this country and there are about a million factors that play into it. No one group or party or person is an easy scapegoat.

Sorry to soapbox.

If those are accurate, then it is way more than the disgruntled employee/client. I've just got a suspicion that those reports will turn out to be wrong.
