I buried my 13 year old Samson years ago, and hardly a day passes that I don't think of him. You've probably seen this clip of actor Jimmy Stewart reading a poem he wrote for his deceased Beau...if not click below.

Sorry to hear that man.. My chocolate lab is 11 now, had her since she was 8 weeks old. She's been with me through a shite ton of things, good and bad, but most importantly, at one point, she was the only thing that was there for me. Quick to forgive, quick to forget. It sucks to lose them, but man, having them is worth the pain of losing them.

If there is a God, dogs are definitely near the top of best gifts ever.

While I just lost my 16 yr old chocolate, I still have my 14 yr old. He's been with me since he was 2 months. He moved with me when I left home, he's a cancer survivor without a relapse the past 6 years, and right now he's sitting next me as I type with his head on my leg. I love him him to death, and could tell when his sister was put down he was extremely concerned and lonely. Just wish he'd quit farting

There is a reason God is dog spelled backwards.

Oh damn you for making me watch that video.

I'm a sobbing mess now.

I miss my boy.

My dog chews raw hides just like that and is about the same size.

Dogs are truly just awesome and only care about making us happy! I held each of our Boxers when we had to put them to sleep. The wife and I never had children and they were our child. Was the hardest thing I ever had to do! I can't help but tearing up from just writing this. Still miss each of them dearly and it's been 11 years for our first one Tyson and 2 since Samson, sorry for your loss!!
