Looking for a good restaurant that I can pay in advance/buy gift card for my mom as a Mother's Day gift. My parents are simple people so the food quality is more important than the atmosphere. Steakhouse/seafood joint ideally, nothing exotic. Thanks in advance

Christopher's would be good. Awesome food a little on the higher end and run by great people. I love Fish Daddy's but it would definitely appear on the cheaper side

Other ags will be of better service regarding the nicer places.

ETA: The Republic is also a very good steakhouse.

No, it's not. Maybe if you're from Alabama.

There is nothing wrong with Salt Grass and your post makes you sound like a pompous douche.

I haven't been back there in over 10 years, but you can never go wrong with Wings 'N' More.

Christopher's and The Republic are great steakhouses. Both are fairly nice and expensive by College Station standards (steaks are $40-50). Cafe Eccell moved (it used to be right by campus) and I haven't heard anything about it since it moved, it was great at the old location. Diverse menu and not quite as expensive as Christopher's or The Republic

I'm not a pompous douche. I'm just better than you. If you live where only chain restaurants are available, I guess Salt Grass is decent.

At least decent enough for you.

Seconded. My little brother was a part-time chef for Christopher's when he was in high school.

As TBird mentioned, Koppe Bridge is great. Kick arse burgers and giant chicken fried steak.

It is more like a country bar type place though.

Back when I was in school, Shipwreck grill in Bryan was good as well.

Um, why would I be butthurt? You received twice as many downvotes as upvotes. Don't be upset that you embarrassed yourself.

From butthurt LSU fans...big surprise. And i loved every single one of them.

Then you got all mad, went searching for my post history and found a post you could attack. At first i thought you were a pompous tool. Now i realize you just got really angry and that was your only way to deal with it. What a butthurt baby. You have been exposed.

You're onto us. We all met at our local Cane's and separated your posts into sections- political, sports related, food and drink, bisexuality/cuckold (this section took alot of time, but we all agreed you really should talk to your wife- she's probably into it). At the end of the day, everyone agreed to let me solely respond to your post, but to send an update to my list serv of 157 members that agreed to stalk your posts.

Because as you know, you're not paranoid, just highly self important.

You should have stuck with your original post. The reboot proves you are more of an idiot who can't read, than the pompous tool you desperately try to be. Pathetic all around. Im sure you will attempt to come back with something better. You have failed all around, I am wasting no more time on you.
