If I did this to my momma...
My momma would have slapped me back so hard I could tasted it! She wouldn't have stopped with one slap, she would paint brushed me with slaps and backhands until I balled up on the floor and then she would have kept hitting from head to toe until she was exhausted. I would have been yelling, "I'm sorry momma, please momma, I'm sorry, I'll never do it again!"

If I said any of that, my dad would have beat my arse so bad I wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
If I pointed a finger at my mom like that, she would have grabbed it and probably broken it on the spot.
If I would have ever even raised my hand to start a slap, my life would have ended within the following 5 minutes and my parents would have started trying to have another kid to make up for the failure that was me.
Fortunately, I never did any of that. And I am unbelievably thankful that my parents spanked me as a kid. When I was a toddler I got a big plastic brush, that was replaced by a switch from 4-7, replaced by a belt from 7-10, and the worst pain I ever received from spankings came from an old yellow plastic wuffle ball bat (It was unreal how fast my dad could swing that thing)

The idea of hitting my mom never even crossed my mind as a kid.
Now, me and my dad almost came to blows once or twice but Id have been killed if I ever even looked at mom in a threatening way.

Me and my dad did too. I respected the hell out of the way he knocked the breath out of me and whipped my arse with his leather belt. All boys need to be put in their place once their balls drop.

I couldn't tell you what type of belt my stepdad actually wore when I was growing up, but the whipping belt is forever etched in my mind. The leather was cracked where it stayed folded in the middle, and it was long enough to wrap around his knuckles once and leave about 18 inches of free leather with which to dole out justice.
I didn't come downstairs at night for bed with my hair still wet without an arse whipping. I would never have dreamed of even talking back to my mother. That just wasn't even in my realm of thinking.
And likewise, I can't imagine ever taking some shite like this from any of my kids. I don't give them nearly what I got, but if they pulled this...

Its obvious that it didn't matter if the TV was there or not. That kid has been allowed to get away with that shite at home and now on national tv. My kids wouldn't dream of talking to me or my wife like this. The crazy part is my brother's 2 sons, especially his 8 year old, talks to my SIL like she is a red headed step child.

I was way to scared to ever do anything like that. (Although my sister once called her Benito Mom-solini, which I still find hilarious.)
I was 17 the first time my mom heard me cuss, and she smacked me in the mouth.
She had me moving around a heavy bookcase (still with books/pictures/etc. on it) and had me moving it back to spots it had already been. I mumbled, "I'm tired of moving this fricking thing." Which was followed quickly by the WHAP.

Oh shite ... if he had slapped my wife like that she would have beat him like a red-headed step child. And then when I got home I would beat him like a rented mule.
Kid obviously was allowed to get away with too much as an adolescent and now the parents are gonna pay for it big time. We'll be seeing him on TV in a few years as he cops surround his house and take him down after he commits mass murder or something.
